At Corfield Solicitors we offer a fixed fee service in respect of the preparation of straightforward Codicils:
Single Codicil £300 + VAT
Mirror Codicils £450 + VAT
Our fixed fee includes our initial meeting to take your instructions; the drafting and engrossment of your Codicil; and, a further appointment to sign your Codicil. We do not charge any additional fees for providing the witnesses to your Codicil.
There may be unforeseen issues in respect of your instructions which may require additional work that could make the Codicil(s) more complex and may increase costs in your matter such as (but not limited to):
- The creation of any complex Trusts
- Protecting your estate against future claims
In such an event we would be entitled to charge for our extra time incurred (at our hourly rate of £295 + VAT) and please be assured that should this happen, the problem and subsequent addition to the fixed fee would be fully discussed and approved by you before commencement of the additional work.
